There is no FortBudget account to close.

FortBudget does not register an online user account or keep your budget on a developer server. Use the in-app Privacy Center to clear the local budgeting database.

Delete All Data in FortBudget

  1. Open Settings Select the Settings tab inside FortBudget.
  2. Open Privacy Center Review the privacy facts and data actions.
  3. Select Delete all FortBudget data FortBudget will show a permanent-deletion confirmation.
  4. Type DELETE and confirm The local budgeting database is cleared and the app returns to onboarding.

This action cannot be undone. Create and verify an encrypted backup first if you may need the data later, and keep its passphrase somewhere safe.

What the in-app action clears

The current Delete All Data action clears the local ledger’s:

  • accounts and transaction records;
  • categories, monthly budgets, and allocations;
  • CSV import history and ledger metadata.

FortBudget uses SQLCipher for the local database and enables SQLite secure deletion for removed rows.

What it cannot delete for you

  • CSV exports or encrypted backup files you saved through Apple’s Files or share interface;
  • copies stored by a third-party cloud provider you selected;
  • support emails you sent;
  • purchase history or billing records controlled by Apple.

Delete those copies directly from the service or location where you saved them. Apple manages requests about App Store billing and purchase records.
